Theory Test

If you choose to continue with your training and take your bike test, you will first need to take your theory test in the classroom.

This is a two-part test. You need to pass both parts in order to gain an overall pass and apply for your practical test:

  • Part 1 comprises multiple choice theory questions that test your knowledge of UK road law, as well as presenting you with scenarios based on real-life situations for you to interpret (you will need to read the Highway Code to prepare for this).
  • Part 2 is Hazard Perception. This part of the test involves watching various scenarios on a computer screen and using a mouse to click in response to developing hazards.

You can purchase a disc to prepare for your theory test or come and practice at the school. Your theory test pass is valid for 2 years and must be passed before you can take the practical tests.

We have many courses available to give you the training you need, come and talk to us so that we can discuss the best options for you.
